LEATHER SHOES CARE AND PRESERVATION
The first thing to know if you want to care for your leather shoes properly is that our shoes are extraordinarily durable, but can suffer irreversible deterioration, if they come into contact with:
- solvents or abrasive materials;
- materials that could release coloured pigments;
- rough or sharp surfaces.
Prolonged exposure to high levels of humidity can also alter their appearance. We therefore
recommend that you store your shoes in a cool, dry place in the bag in which they were
delivered to you.
Our soles are made of 100% Italian leather, which is a valuable and resistant material but
normally subject to wear and tear, following prolonged use. The deterioration of the sole,
therefore, is a physiological development that is part of the natural process of using a leather
shoe.
We trust the quality of our shoes so much that we offer you a free repair service.

LEATHER SHOE CLEANING
If you want to preserve the integrity of your GuidoMaggi leather elevator shoes, we
recommend you follow these simple instructions for shoe care. Each material is different
and therefore requires small steps for a proper but gentle shoe cleaning.
FULL-GRAIN LEATHER
Full-grain leather is a natural material that is very durable
but needs proper care. Despite popular belief,
its cleaning is a particularly simple procedure that requires no special products.

Make sure the shoe is dry and that there are no external
elements that could scratch the upper, such as gravel or sand. Use a clean woollen cloth
and make light, circular movements without rubbing. Avoid using coloured creams or
cleansing milk, brushes or wet cloths.
SUEDE LEATHER
Suede leather is a very porous natural material, which means that it easily absorbs liquids
with which it comes into contact.

Make sure the shoe is dry. Use a regular brush with soft bristles and
gently follow the direction of the hair. Avoid using water, solvents and abrasive materials. Do
not subject the shoe to brushes with excessively stiff bristles, heat sources or too vigorous
brushing.
TUSCAN NAPPA LEATHER
Tuscan nappa is a natural material that is characterised by remarkable porosity, elasticity
and softness.

Check that the shoe is dry and that there are no
external elements that could scratch the upper. If there are no obvious stains, use a clean
microfibre cloth and make light, circular movements without rubbing. If there are stains,
contact a specialised professional, but then the colour change may be irreversible. Avoid
using coloured creams or cleansing milk, brushes or wet cloths. Do not expose the shoes to
external heat sources and do not expose them to natural light for prolonged periods.
